Özet
<p>Abstract In today's world, cities that have become center of industry and trade attract population due to the employment opportunities and living conditions they offer. With the rapid increase in the number of people living in cities, the concept of smart cities gains more importance in order to improve the livability of urban life. Digitalization and citizen participation are two crucial elements in the perspective of smart cities, which collect data across the city. and integrate the findings into the urban ecosystem. While there are many features in the concept of smart cities, the primary objective is to make life easier for citizens. Therefore, ensuring the safe and comfortable movement of pedestrians, who play a key role in urban movement in the cities, is an important topic of discussion. The issue of Pedestrian safety in smart city traffic applications has not been studied enough in the literature yet. Within the scope of pedestrian safety, aspects such as traffic flow, road works, movement of public transportation vehicles, urban activities, transportation plans, etc., can be examined. In this context, this research aims to examine examples of pedestrian safety in smart cities worldwide, reveal the current situation, and contribute to the literature. </p>
