<p>Kornea ve kornea hastalıkları alanında uzmanlaşmış bir oftalmoloğum. 2004 yılında Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nden birincilikle mezun oldum ve 2004-2010 yılları arasında Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı'nda ihtisasımı tamamladım. Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı'nda 2014-2020 yılları arasında uzman, 2020-2025 yılları arası Doçent ve 2026 yılından beridir de Profesör olarak görev yapmaktayım. Limbal kök hücre çeviri biliminde 19 yıllık deneyimim var. Bu süre zarfında konuyla ilgili beşi Türkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Araştırma Kurumu tarafından finanse edilen 7 projede yer aldım. Çeşitli dergilerde yayınlanmış 100'den fazla bilimsel makalem bulunmaktadır. 2019 yılından itibaren Ege Üniversitesi Hastanesi Göz Bankası Laboratuvar Sorumlusu olarak ek sorumluluklar aldım. 2021 yılında Ege Üniversitesi Bünyesinde oküler yüzey araştırma laboratuvarını kurdum. Limbal kök hücre eksikliğine yönelik kişiye özel hücresel tedavi ürünü geliştirmek amacıyla kurulan LİMBUSTEM'in de kurucu ortağıyım.</p>
