The project was carried out based on cultural analysis, one of the qualitative research designs, and its design principles were structured in line with Jaques Derrida's deconstruction approach. Interviews with the source persons during the observations in the research units were effective in the interpretation of cultural data.

In the project, while the traditional ornamental phenomenon was examined from communicative perspectives, it was also evaluated within the framework of ethnic, ritualistic, geographical and identity concepts. The important point to be emphasized is that this study is not just a study based on authenticity, it is the use of traditional data in the process of determining the living culture of ornament and producing artistic designs for the future. Previously studies based on traditional culture are generally related to clothing, handicrafts, etc. The fact that it was limited to the subjects revealed the pioneering value of this project, which brought together traditional ornamentation styles and provided its artistic transformation. The reuse of ethnic heritage with a futuristic approach is considered as the original part of the study. Although it was aimed to present our traditional culture to international sharing through artistic designs, the limited data obtained from the villages whose numbers were reduced due to the pandemic weakened the project expectations. The next goal will be to reach the resource people who continue to keep the ornamentation traditions alive.

Keywords: Traditional ornamentation, Artistic image, Postmodern design
