RESEARCHES ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SOME ESSENTIAL OILS APPLIED TO WHEAT SEED INFECTED WITH COMMON BUNT
Project no. 1092 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016
Summary
The aim of this study is to reveal the possibilities of success of some essential oils applied to the wheat seeds infected with common bunt. In this context, in vitro effectiveness of essential oils of Origanum onites, Thymus vulgaris and Thymus serpillum on the common bunt were determined. At the end of the study, it was found that the doses of 1500 and 2000 ppm essential oil of three plants were effective in in-vitro against common sports. To determine the effects of these essential oils on seed germination, phytotoxicity experiments were established and it was found that 2000 ppm dose had a serious negative effect on germination and 1500 ppm dose was the critical dose for all three essential oils. Key words: essential oil, wheat seed, common bunt, in-vitro
