INVESTIGATION OF FACTORS AFFECTING SEWING QUALITY IN LEATHER APPAREL
Project no. 1116 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018
Summary
The objective of this study is to determine the necessary sewing conditions to achieve ideal sewing performance in leather garments, increase production efficiency and prevent sewing defects in factories. For this purpose, chrome tanned sheep nappa leathers with two different finishes and thicknesses were provided. Samples were produced using different sewing parameters (sewing thread type, stitch density, seam direction and needle size). The seam tensile strength and seam pucker properties were investigated.
