Summary
In this study, the definition, evolution and algorithm for each of the following terms are examined; security of data, data encryption methods, cyber attack types and the precautions and techniques to be taken against attacks. To develop systems with stronger security against malicious attacks, the steps which threaten the security of systems are investigated and number of encryption methods to supply data security, the measures to be taken against the risk of attack according to type, and how it is done are included. The analysis of previous methods, how to improve these methods and the attack methods against these improved security methods are also examined. By using the results of this study, it is intended to develop teaching techniques for how to ensure, how to identify, how to intervene and how to improve data security. As a result, it is observed that because of recent improvement in technology, increased time period of using the internet and the increased risk of stronger viruses; providing the data security is a must. Also to maintain the data security, the significance of cryptology methods is detected. To minimize the risk of cyber attacks and identifying the right strategies; it is required to restrict the access and also update the information regularly.
