Summary
<p>This study aims to develop a smart upright posture warning corset that provides ease of wear, is not visible from the outside, warns the wearer with sound or vibration in the hunched posture position, which is frequently seen especially in the elderly and young people, and enables regular use of the corset and follow-up of the warning frequency with a mobile phone application. Within the scope of this project, improvement and development will be provided in upright posture corsets used to minimize the risks arising from posture disorders. It is seen that patients do not prefer existing products or do not use them for a sufficient period due to the problems encountered during use, the corset being visible under the clothes and being uncomfortable. In this context, firstly, the types of upright posture warning corsets available in the market will be examined and improvement studies will be carried out in stages such as the production process of the corset, the material used, the size chart and the model design. For the corset to be developed, a model will be designed to eliminate the problems experienced by taking the support of an expert physician. Knitting structures that will make the designed model comfortable will be determined.</p><p><br></p><p>The innovative aspect of this study is that an upright posture warning corset will be developed, which will warn the wearer of a hunchbacked posture with vibrations and will allow the regular use of the corset, the frequency of the warnings and thus the performance of the corset to be monitored with a mobile phone application. In addition to these features, the designed corset will also solve one of the main problems of corsets available on the market: the standard product does not fit the user's body. To this end, the user will be given instructions on how to wear the corset together with the corset, and the user will calibrate the sensor to his or her body after wearing the corset properly. In this way, the corset becomes a made-to-measure product for the user. </p>
