Prospective evaluation of the effectiveness of bronchoscopy in cases with post-traumatic thorax pathology.

Summary
<p>Patients who applied to the Ege University Faculty of Medicine Hospital Emergency Service after trauma and were followed up by the Thoracic Surgery clinic due to thoracic pathology were included. Within the scope of the study, diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy was performed on 58 patients. The radiological examinations of the patients included in the study were evaluated before and after the procedure, and they were prospectively examined for the development of atelectasis secondary to trauma and whether there was radiological improvement after the procedure.</p>
