Preparation and characterization of carbon-based nanomaterials incorporated electrospun nanofibers to form recognition surfaces

Project no. 22688 · Status: Kapanmış · 2021

Summary

In this project, firstly polystyrene (PS) nanofibers (NL) were produced and characterized by electrospinning process. After the graphene oxide (GO) was produced from graphite, the GO sheets were silanized with (3-Aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES). Optimum conditions were determined by mixing the synthesized GO-APTES nanocomposite and PS solution at different ratios, and bead-free, nano-sized nanofibers were obtained. The nanofibers obtained under the determined optimum conditions were deposited on the surface of the screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) by the electrospinning technique. The covalent bond between the nanofiber deposited on the surface of the working electrode and AntiCD36 (AbCD36) was provided by 1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide/N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide (EDC/NHS). Electrochemical measurements were carried out under the determined optimum conditions. The physical and chemical properties of the obtained AbCD36-APTES-GO/PS nanomaterial were characterized by Attenuated Total Reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (ATR-FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Scattering Spectrometer (SEM-EDS), Contact Angle methods. Cyclic voltammogram (CV), differential pulse voltammogram (DPV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques were used for electrochemical measurements. Selectivity studies were carried out in the presence of various potential interferences. Finally, the analytical characteristics (standard deviation, detection limit, repeatability, percent recovery) of the developed immunosensor system were determined.
