Reusable Digital Twin Tool
Project no. 28500 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2023
Summary

Digital twins, which allow systems to be constantly monitored, analyzed and improved by creating a virtual model that reflects the physical counterpart, have attracted great attention in recent years and are used in different sectors such as healthcare, smart cities, energy and construction, especially in the production sector. Within the scope of this project, it is aimed to develop a tool that can be used to create and monitor digital twins in different application areas. This tool has been developed in compliance with the ISO 23247 reference architecture. It is aimed that the tool can be used in different application areas by defining the relevant application field-specific parameters and the required data. Another feature of the tool developed within the scope of the project is that, unlike the literature, it can keep information in semantic web standards, allow it to be queried with the semantic web query language, and have the ability to monitor changes in semantically expressed information. Semantic web-related features of the tool; It is exemplified on a scenario where knowledge is expressed and queried with a suitable ontology. The developed tool has three components which are user interface, real devices and server side. The server side is the component where digital twins are created and stored, and semantic web-related functionality is also provided. Both the user interface and real devices communicate in a bidirectional way with the server side through web sockets.
