DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF a MODEL FIXED MIRROR SOLAR COLLECTOR
Project no. 637 · Status: Kapanmış · 2015
Summary
Most of the country’s energy needs, named as primary sources such as oil, coal, natural gas, are obtained using the fossil resources. The use of these resources as a result of environmental pollution as well as the emissions causing global warming is. Because of the limited reserves of these resources will end their lives. After the first oil crisis in 1971, issued in accordance with the country dependent on foreign energy and to this end did not want to be a renewable source of energy for energy needs tended to. Emission is not easy according to the availability and cost of other renewable energy sources become cheaper due to the concentrated solar energy on. Technological developments, increasing every day working on producing electricity from solar energy through solar energy, especially at high temperatures was studied and obtained by steam power generation began to become widespread. Steam turbines using steam and high temperatures are needed to produce electricity. For medium and high-temperature applications, solar systems are used intensively. This system comes at the beginning of the fixed mirror solar collectors. The reflective surface of the sun rays through the system type collector area of focus in the condensate receiving tube is reflecting. In this study, fixed mirror concentrators are discussed with the theoretical base. The system in the reflective part, absorber tubes, and solar glass cover been analyzed in detail. Optic and thermal performance analysis of designed solar collector was carried out according to the measured solar energy data’s between the years of September 2017- March 2018.
