PRODUCTION OF MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS

Project no. 721 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

In this project, magnetic nanoparticles were produced and characterized. Nanoparticle production was carried out by co-precipitation method. Nanoparticles were functionalized with molecules such as TMA, Oleic acid, APTES to prevent the precipitation of magnetic nanoparticles and to enable them to bind actively with other molecules. The pH of the produced magnetic nanoparticles as a magnetic liquid was adjusted optically for biomedical applications. The magneto-optical linear dichroism effect was investigated by inserting different amounts of DNA into magnetic fluid. Dimensional analysis, structural determination, magnetic characteristics and magneto-optic properties of magnetite nanoparticles were investigated by DLS, XRD, VSM and linear dichroism spectroscopy measurement system designed in this study, respectively. At the same time, double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) and magnetic nanoparticle systems are combined and the magneto-optical properties associated with polarization for different magnetic field values applied were presented.
