DETERMINATION OF RADON CONCENTRATIONS BY CONTINUOUS MEASUREMENTS THROUGH WESTERN BRANCH OF GEDİZ GRABEN (MANİSA BASIN)
Project no. 215 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018
Summary
Due to the nature of the world we live in, it is in constant change and transformation. This change manifests itself as geodynamic events (earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, natural events like floods, and landslides). Radon gas is a precursor that is used effectively in the monitoring of geodynamic events. However, it is necessary to know the radon migration in the study area and to monitor the specific behavior of the radon with continuous measurements in order to be used as a precursor. In this project, soil gas radon concentration changes along the western branch of the Gediz Graben (Manisa basin) were determined by continuous measurements and radon behavior was examined in the study area.
