Summary
In Turkey, there is a significant increase on efforts to reduce work-related accidents and occupational diseases in recent years. However, the studies dealing with the subject within the scope of the subcontracting facilities of the construction sector are almost nonexistent, and it is observed that the measurements of the working environment are not examined in terms of occupational safety. Within the scope of this study, ready mixed concrete production facilities were selected which is one of the construction sub-industry facilities. In this context, noise and indoor air quality in ready-mixed concrete production facilities and its effects on human health are investigated. Risky areas in terms of noise and indoor air quality have been determined for the employees working in the related facilities, and suggestions for improvement have been presented in order to achieve a healthy and comfortable working environment by taking the reference limit values specified in the regulations. This study is planned to be a reference that can be applied later in the provinces and other production facilities.
