THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT TYPES NOZZLES AT DIFFERENT PRESSSURES ON PRECIPITATION DENSITY, CHRISTIANSEN COEFFICIENT, RUNOFF AND SOIL LOSS UNDER LABORATORY CONDITIONS

Project no. 20262 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018

Summary

The aim of this study was to determine the most suitable nozzle to be used in erosion researches after having found out the rain intensities, the Christiansen coefficient, runoff and soil losses, with the Veejet (80070, 80100 and 80150) and Fulljet (40S, 36SQ and 50WSQ) sprays at 10, 20, 30 and 40 kPa pressures of rain simulators. Rain intensity, Christianse coefficients, runoff and soil loss were investigated. The datas obtained from the experiment were evaluated. The Christianse coefficients values were higher 80% in all nozzles and the rainfall distribution was found uniform. At different water pressures, higher rainfall densities were obtained with the Fulljet nozzless, The highest rainfall density was obtained with the Fulljet 40S while the lowest was obtained with the Veejet 80070. Veejet (80070, 80100 and 80150) and Fulljet (40S, 36SQ and 50WSQ) nozzless have a runoff values ranging from 67.86 mm hour-1 to 167.59 mm hour-1, The highest runoff was obtained with the the Fulljet 50WSQ while the lowest was obtained with the Veejet 80070. In this research the lowest soil loss was obtained with the Fulljet 36SQ, while the highest was found out with the Veejet 80150. A linear relationship was found that between rain intensity, Christiansen coefficient, runoff and soil losses.
