Removal of dyestuff remaining in bath after dyeing process by vine stem as a biosorbent

Project no. 1340 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018

Summary

Leather industry is an industry many chemicals are used together. The dyestuffs remaining after dyeing process in bath are dangerous waste with high pollution load for the environment. In the present study, Acid brown 282 dyestuff was used as dyestuff. Wine stem exposed as a pruning in the Aegean region will be used as sorbent. In the study, sorbent was characterized by SEM, FTIR, techniques. In adsorption process batch adsorption method was applied, adsorption isotherms and kinetics were obtained by UV Visible spectrophotometer. Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms were investigated. After adsorption studies, it was determined that the highest dyestuffs were achieved at pH 2 and 4hours.
