Preparation of personalized minimally invasive treatment protocols with 3D model in intracranial aneurysms
Project no. 20125 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018
Summary
The most effective treatment option in aneurysm treatment is clamps to be placed in the vein. Endovascular equipment brought from abroad causes the delay of the intervention and high fees. Long hospitalization periods of the patient, repetitive surgeries and permanent disabilities are disadvantages to the patients and also the loss of nationel wealth. Considering this situation, it is necessary to have an innovative perspective in medicine where physicians use appropriate methods and tools supported by current technology to eliminate the limitations of current treatment methods, to determine treatment strategies and to manage treatment. Within the scope of this project, it is planned to produce 3D brain models that reveal the anatomical details of the specific patient’s aneurysm who will go under surgery using 3D software technology. These new three-dimensional solid models will contribute to the development of surgical intervention skills and the acquisition of new approaches with the experience gained through risk-free and safe operative applications. Thus, the planning of safe and successful initiatives, discussion on the planned initiatives, determination and implementation of the most appropriate method will provide an important training platform and learning environment, especially for research assistants and new experts.
