The Competition of Amaranthus palmeri with Some Culture Plants in the Early Period for Plant Nutrient Elements
Project no. 22599 · Status: Kapanmış · 2021
Summary
In this study, carried out under pot conditions at Ege University Faculty of Agriculture, the nutrient competition of Amaranthus palmeri with sunflower, corn and cotton was investigated. For this purpose, Amaranthus palmeri and crop plants were planted in 36 pots (12×3) in total. After reaching a certain stage, the plants were removed from the pots for one week and their dry biomass and plant nutrients contents were determined. Within the scope of the study, cotton was determined as the weakest plant among the crop plants. Amaranthus palmeri plant benefited from 32.84% of the plant nutrients removed in competition with the plant in question.
