Chemotaxonomic Study of Glaucium species collected from of all natural distributed localities in Turkey

Project no. 20129 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2018

Summary

While alkaloids are very important sources as medicinal compounds, they provide us useful information in terms of plant systematics within the Papaveraceae family. Papaveraceae family contains aporphine, protopine, protoberberine and proaporphine, which are important in chemosystematic species distinction (Preininger, 1985) isoquinoline alkaloids (Ivanovska ve ark., 1996). Alkaloids are secondary compounds, especially abundant in the papaveraceae family, are important herbal secondary compounds, as they contain morphinan derivatives in medical terms. Glaucium (Papaveraceae) is represented in our country by 10 taxa, 4 of which are endemic. In this study we have collected the plants; 1.G. corniculatum (L) Rud. subsp. corniculatum: Eskişehir; 2. G. corniculatum (L) Rud. subsp. refractum (Nab.) Cullen: Bilecik, Ankara; 3. G. grandiflorumBoiss & Huet var. grandiflorum: Erzincan, Eskişehir, Aksaray, Kırşehir, Uşak, Eskişehir; 4. G. grandiflorum Boiss & Huet var. torquatum Cullen (Endemic) Eskişehir, Polatlı, Ankara ; 5. G. haussknechtii Bornm & Fedde Erzincan, Gümüşhane; 6. G. flavumCrantz , izmir, Ordu; 7. G. leiocarpum Boiss., Manisa, Afyon, Konya, Aksaray, Nevşehir, Manisa, Eskişehir, Sivrihisar, Banaz, Kayseri , İzmir, Uşak; 8. G. acutidentatum Hausskn. & Bornm: (Endemiç) Sivas; 9. G. cappadocicum Boiss. (Endemic) Erzincan, Kemahlı; 10. G. secmenii (Endemic) Eskişehir belonging to different Glaucium species from different locations of Turkey. An analytical study was carried out by determining the alkaloids it contains and how much alkaloid content in which localization of the Glaucium alkaloids collected from different localizations of the same species. Systematic and kemosistematic structure of the plants were determined both identifying the alkaloid profile and the quantity of the same alkaloids of the same Glaucium species of Turkey.
