Project no. 830 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017
Summary
Changes in the balance of trade routes and trade wars in the world have increased the need for protection for countries. Increasing national competitiveness and building stronger relationships in regional cooperations are two important issues commonly seen. This change has created a basis for the establishment of new organizations in the world under the name of business and innovation centre (BIC) and to create structures that will develop economic value and often enable the innovation mechanisms to be realized with commercialization through incentive mechanisms. With the help of BICs, entrepreneurs who are able to prototype and present their ideas can be brought together with angel investors, law/engineering/ financial advisory and support mechanisms besides physical infrastructure needed by each enterprise such as low-cost office support and infrastructure services provided in these centres. The provision of consultancy services has enabled them to survive and create value through the use of services such as training and networking offered by the BICs and their networks to transform them into more qualified enterprises or through mergers/acquisitions. In this study, it is tried to be defined how business and innovation centres create value in their organizational structure within their innovation networks.
