The Effect of Biofertilizers Including of Mycorrhiza on Soil Properties and Phosphorus Uptakes of Maize (Zea mays L.) under different NPK levels

Project no. 993 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

In this project, bio-fertilizers containing two different species of fungus imported from abroad, including arbuscular mycorrhiza fungus (AMF) (Rhizophagus irregularis and Funneliformis mosseae) spores were applied to the corn seeds, and in soil containing different doses of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Effects of the treatments on plant / root development were investigated. In addition to this, the effects of the bio-fertilizer application on some chemical soil properties have been examined. It has been demonstrated that in mycorrhizal applications with mineral fertilizer applications at 100 %, 75 % and 50 % (comparing to commercial production practices in the region) doses, it is possible to save nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer applications with Mosseae type + 75 % mineral fertilizer application and obtain better plant growth. In cases where the fertilizer application is reduced to 50 %, mycorrhizal applications do not provide an advantage over 100 % mineral fertilizer due to fertilizer use efficiency. Mycorrhiza applications have increased soil respiration compared to control, especially when combined with mineral fertilizer.
