Project no. 30791 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2023

Summary

In this thesis, a hydrogel was developed using natural compounds of hyaluronic acid silk sericin and fulvic/humic acid. The characterization of this hydrogel was carried out to assess the impact and functionality of the natural compounds in its content. While developing the hydrogel, experimental design was carried out with the mixture design method to observe the effect of the concentrations of the components on the change of the targeted parameters. In the experimental designs created with the mixture design method, three main samples with swelling degree parameter results in the desired range were selected and characterization analyzes were conducted. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and rheological analyses were performed for the characterization of the developed hydrogel and examined in detail in terms of chemical, morphological and flow properties. In this way, the possible bonds between these three raw materials and the contribution of the molecules to the hydrogel structure were evaluated.

Antioxidant activity, cytotoxicity, stability and microbiological activity analyses were carried out to evaluate the cosmetic product potential and functionality of the developed hydrogel.
