COMPARISON OF SURFACE PROPERTIES OF DIFFERENT TEXTILE MATERIALS BY PLASMA TREATMENT
Project no. 1330 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018
Summary
As it is one of the basic searches of many industries in the rapidly industrializing world, the textile industry is also in search of the least harm it can cause to the environment and human health and how it can make the greatest contribution to the economy. In order to achieve this, the old methods may not always be a good choice because they require high energy and water expenditure, and can also have many negative effects on environmental health, either directly or indirectly. For this reason, it is expected that the effects of newly developed methods such as more innovative, simple and sustainability will come to the fore in the light of developing technology. Atmospheric plasma method is one of the methods that respond to these searches in textile finishing, and in this study, the effects of this method on nettle, polyester and recycled polyester fibers are examined and compared with classical methods as well as the environmental effects of reducing the use of chemicals, energy and water, compared to conventional finishing processes, such as carbon emissions, were investigated by performing a life cycle analysis (using SimoPro 9.0 software).
