Project no. 300 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

The place, importance, function and structure of Macedonian music in Izmir city centre will be presented. Furthermore, music of rituals such as engagement, henna, wedding and circumcision of Tapani orchestras will be revealed in the context of institutional and individual communication. All these data will be discussed in the research report with the values in Izmir city centre. I first used the Macedonian Tapani orchestras, which are very important for the urban culture of Izmir, in the film music applications of Ragip Taranc’s and Faik Kartelli’s film titled “A Wedding Tale” in 1993. This music has contributed to being a remarkable film at Costinesti film festival in Romania. In my work shop on music in skopje in 2016, I saw that Europe is very sensitive to Macedonian music and Tapani orchestras in Izmir city centre. Unfortunately, in this regard, I saw that we didn’t have competent studies. For these studies, I have observed that Izmir. Camdibi, Yesilova, Nergiz, Dedebasi, Semikler is the center of many sources. I also mentioned the Tapani orchestra in my boks titled “The Music of the Two shores” and “The Turkish and Greek Origins of the Mediterrean Music” which were written in 1997. In my research, my findings on this subject will be involved in a comprehensivelg.
