Summary

Abstract

In the production of cut flower daffodils in Turkey, there is no record of soilless cut flower narcissus production in the greenhouse, which makes it possible to produce more flowers per unit area during the year. One of the biggest cost factors in this cultivation, which allows the production of high amount of cut narcissi from a unit area within a season, with the renewal of the plantation, is bulbs and at the end of cultivation, the bulbs become smaller and lose their quality. In this project, which was carried out with Karaburun Nergisi, Sir Winston Churchil and Golden Harvest narcissus varieties, the effects of different fertilization applications and the maintenance of vegetation in open field conditions after the flower harvest were examined on plants grown for greenhouse soilless cut flower narcissus production in İzmir conditions. It was determined that the applications reduced the loss of size in bulbs compared to the control and did not adversely affect the yield and quality of flowers. In the study, the effects of maintaining vegetation after harvesting flowers with or without leaves in soilless cut flower narcissus production on flower quality, bulb yield and size were investigated. In addition, some effects of different bulb lifting times on plants those vegetation was maintained were also determined.

Key Words: Narcissus, soilless, cut flower, bulb growth, bulb grade, greenhouse
