Based on Surface Energy Balance and Determination of Evapotranspiration of Seferihisar-Kavakdere Valley with Remote Sensing Technique

Project no. 1044 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

This study was carried out in order to evaluate the daily and monthly estimates of the actual evapotranspiration values in Seferihisar-Kavakdere valley. In the study, the ETa values for May-October 2013 and 2014 were estimated using the METRIC model using Landsat 8 OLI-TIRS satellite data. As a result, the evapotranspiration of citrus, grape and olive which constitute almost all of Seferihisar-Kavakdere Valley plant pattern was determined by METRIC model based on remote sensing data. In May, June, July, August, September and October ETa values are 127 mm, 145 mm, 190mm, 170 mm, 146 mm and 91 mm respectively in 201; in 2014, it was 114 mm, 125 mm, 135 mm, 124 mm, 100 mm and 80 mm respectively. The highest values in both years were realized in July. In conclusion, in this study, evapotranspiration in Seferihisar Kavakdere Valley irrigation area was determined by METRIC model based on remote sensing data.
