INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF SOME BACTERIAL FORMULATIONS ON BACTERIAL SPOT (Xanthomonas euvesicatoria) DISEASE AND PLANT DEVELOPMENT IN PEPPER (Capsicum annum) GROWING

Project no. 22152 · Status: Kapanmış · 2021

Summary

In this project, it was aimed to optimize the production and formulation of some definitively diagnosed beneficial bacteria (YB) isolates, which were found to be successful in terms of biological control against the bacterial spot factor (Xanthomonas euvesicatoria, Xev), which is a problem in pepper cultivation, and whose effect was found to increase plant growth, and to ensure the effectiveness of these formulations levels were investigated. In the study, the ratios of different nitrogen-carbon sources were determined by determining the optimum development time at which three beneficial bacteria isolates, namely Pantoea agglomerans no. 213, Pantoea agglomerans no. 224 and Pseudomonas putida no. 241 showed maximum viability. Shelf life of YB isolates was followed up under different storage conditions for 6 months after freeze-dryingWhile -80 0C deep-freezing and -20 0C freezing conditions were considered as the best storage conditions, there was not much difference between them in terms of loss of vitality. Biocontrol tests against Xev and effect tests on plant growth were carried out in-vivo conditions on the capia pepper plant. YB formulas were systematically given in two different ways as seed coating and green parts application. Considering the disease suppression levels; In both in-vivo trials, 109 cfu/ml concentration of P. putida isolate no. 241 was the most effective YB formulation with seed and green parts application. When plant growth parameters were evaluated, 109 cfu/ml concentration of P. agglomerans isolate no. 213 and P. putida isolate no. 241 were found to be successful.
