Political transparency is one of the main fields of study of political science. Today, transparency is a very important issue especially in the election process. Political transparency emerges in different dimensions of interest in the election process. These dimensions are related to political, financial, and audit. In the political dimension, equality is crucial in the election process. At the financial level, it is important that those who compete for power and the expenditures of the parties are transparent. On the audit dimension, all processes are open to public scrutiny. It is also necessary to find legal regulations in this regard. From the end of the 19th century on the international arena legal arrangements have been made about transparency in politics and electoral processes. It is noteworthy that in our country this law has been done since 1990s. Today, both the Constitution, the political party law and the electoral law have regulations in this respect. Political parties include politics and programs on transparency in election processes and election declarations. Though these are not enough, they are still promising. In this study, the programs and declarations of 4 of the parties participating in the 7 June elections were examined. It has been found that the parties has limited possibilities for transparency and transparency in the selection process. Media does not pay much attention to transparency. Particularly the media that support the ruling party are not much concerned with this issue. Non-governmental organizations are very active in this regard. In this study, the “Voting and Beyond association” and “the Balance and Supervision network” were examined. It has been determined that these organizations are active in raising awareness of voters. A survey of 3050 voters was also conducted in this study. Findings in the survey indicate that voters are interested in the appreciation of civil society in this area. While voters advocate giving financial support based on party performance, it is generally understood that they consider transparency in politics and electoral processes very important.
