Effect of Daucus Carota L. Var Atrorubens on Sepsis Treatment and Mortality in Experimental Sepsis Models

Project no. 20635 · Status: Kapanmış · 2019

Summary

Sepsis secondary to infections is a serious problem that threatens public health. While the causes of sepsis can be millions, preventive treatments for sepsis are unfortunately limited. In our project, intraabdominal injections of Daucus Carota L. Var Atrorubens (black carrot) were planned as a controlled experiment by dividing them into 4 groups in rats for which sepsis models were created experimentally. As a result, the effect of Daucus Carota L. Var Atrorubens on sepsis treatment and mortality in experimental Sepsis models was considered. It was planned to see the biochemical and histological changes with the black carrot treatment applied for 7 days and the treatment given as a result of the application of experimental sepsis modeling to the subjects divided into 4 groups as an experimental plan. In our study, liver and kidney function biochemical tests were evaluated with blood samples at the end of the 7th day. In addition, it was planned to see the success of the experimental sepsis model, the effect of sepsis on the body, and the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of black carrot treatment with tissue samples taken from the liver and kidney.
