GERİ DÖNÜŞÜM AGREGASI KULLANIMININ GEÇİRİMLİ BETON ÖZELLİKLERİNE ETKİSİ

Project no. 748 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

In this study, effect of replacing various amounts of coarse limestone aggregate with recycled concrete aggregate (RDA) on pervious concrete properties was investigated. For this purpose, coarse limestone aggregate and recycled concrete aggregate with 15-25 mm particle size were used for the production of concrete mixtures. Replacement ratios of limestone aggregate with RDA were chosen as 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. Specimens from five mixtures incorporating different amounts of RDA were cast and exposed to standard water curing for 28 days. After that, compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength, absorption capacity and sulfate resistance tests were applied on the specimens. The obtained data was used to evaluate the effect of utilizing RDA as limestone aggregate replacement on pervious concrete properties. According to the permeability characteristics of the mixtures with RDA replacement up to 100%, coarse RDA can be considered as an effective alternative to limestone aggregate. Meanwhile, RDA inclusion resulted in reductions in mechanical properties of the mixtures.
