Summary
STUDYING THE PRODUCTIVITY OF SEEDLING-GROWED ONIONS FOLLOWING THE PRODUCTION OF LOLO ROSSO LETTUCE ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the effects of chicken manure on the yield and yield components of onion. This study was done in research and practices area of Ege University, Odemis Technical Training College in 2017. In parallel with the field and greenhouse conditions, eight onion (Allium cepa L.) varieties (14-16, Burgaz, Karbeyazı, Naz, NWG, Perwana, Seyhan, Şampiyon) and also three different doses of chicken manure (2 t da-1, 4 t da1, 6 t da-1) and mineral fertilizer were used in this research. Non fertilized parcel was used as control. The experimental desingns were split plot with three replications. Yield, bulb weight, bulb diameter, bulb height, number of dry shell, number of shoots, number of fleshy leaves, dry matter were investigated. Nitrogen, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu content in leaf and bulb of onion samples were analyzed. In addition, sucrose, fructose and glucose values in bulb were determined. Treatments gave the best results with compared to control for yield, bulb weight, bulb height, number of dry shell, number of shoots in field conditions. Burgaz variety was the best performing variety with regards to more parameters especially yield (6506 kg da-1), expect number of shoots. The highest yield was obtained 6 t da-1 as 4631 kg. This results show that treatments improved yield and yield components compared to control. In the greenhouse, yield, head weight, head diameter, head height, dry shell number, number of shoot, number of leaves and dry matter gave the best results fleshy compared to control. Burgaz variety, especially in yield (10540 kg da-1) has been showing some sort of the best performance in many parameters such as. The highest yield, 7299 kg was obtained from the application of 2 t da -1. These results suggests that compared with the control yield and yield components of applications developed.
