SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF A NEW ANTHRAQUINONE DERIVATIVE PHTHALOCYANINE.
Project no. 21788 · Status: Kapanmış · 2020
Summary

Phthalocyanines are very strong and excellent dyestuffs; It is used as ink, textile, metal and plastic dyestuff. Today, Phthalocyanines; Photoconducting agent in many areas of high technology, photodynamic cancer treatment, chemical sensors in some medical applications, electrochromic display devices, read-write parts of computers, information storage systems, laser dye, photovoltaic cell material, liquid crystal applications, as a catalyst in the oxidation of olefins, the octane number of gasoline It finds usage areas as enhancing, non-linear optical (NLO) and optical limiting (OL) materials. Starting from this point; The synthesis and characterization of phthalocyanine will be done with the substance 2,6-Dihydroxyanthraquinone (Anthraquinone).

In recent years, quinonin derivative substances; It has been seen that it has started to be used in important fields such as paint, polymer, medicine and advanced technology. Research on this subject has shown that most of the studies are patented. It has been understood from the researches that quinonin derivatives can be used in the above-mentioned areas due to their high electron withdrawing capacity. In addition, it has been observed in researches that there are important patents because the paint industry formulations can dissolve in water and are very resistant to atmospheric oxygen.

The phthalocyanine compound planned to be synthesized with the 2,6-Dihydroxyanthraquinone (Anthraquinone) starting material planned to be used in this study has not been found in the literature. It is thought that due to the structure of this substance, it will form a new and different type of Phthalocyanine and its electron-withdrawal capability will be very high. The vast majority of organic materials used in important fields such as paints, polymers, medicine and advanced technology have low electron withdrawing tendencies. In order to increase the performance of this sector, new organic materials with high electron withdrawing capacities are needed. For this reason, it is thought that the new Phthalocyanine compound with high electron withdrawing capacity, which will be synthesized from the starting material of 2,6-Dihydroxyanthraquinone (Anthraquinone), will be much more effective.
