Improving of the Vessel Forms based on Numerical Methods of Fishing Vessels used in Turkish Waters

Summary
As the world and Turkey too, there is a continuous development on the fishing vessels in parallel with developing technology. Structural improvements in fishing vessels directly effect the efficiency of fishing. According to the type of fishing, the improvement of the structural characteristics of the fishing vessels is very important for cost efficiency. Today, the improvement of fishing vessels has a tendency to analyze the traditional structural features of the existing fishing vessels and to structurally improve the fishing vessels accordingly. It is important to increase the operational efficiency of fishing vessels by means of numerical methods and based on simulation, without getting too far away from the traditional fishing vessel form which has come with the experience and practice of many years. In this study, based on fishing vessels forms used in the fishing industry in Turkey, maximum efficiency to obtain a lower fuel consumption determined for certain improvements to be made in numerical methods help of fishing vessel forms to have been made and are discussed on the applicability of the existing fishing vessel of those improvements.
