Project no. 616 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016
Summary
Mathematical modeling of many problems encountered in various science and engineering fields such as fluid mechanics, chemical kinematics and chemical physics are defined by nonlinear differential equations. It is not always possible to obtain the exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations. For this reason, solutions of such equations are of great importance. In this thesis, wave solutions of some important nonlinear evolution equations are obtained by Functional Variable method and wave types are determined. Except the introduction, this study consist of five chapters. In chapter two, some basic definitions and concepts which are necessary for evolution equations are given. In chapter three, Functional Variable Method which is used to solve equations has been introduced. In chapter four, semi-analytical solutions of some evolution equations have been reached. Physical behaviors of the obtained solution functions are evaluated and three-dimensional graphics have been drawn using the Mathematica program. In chapter five, traveling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations have been evaluated. Key Words: Evolution equations, functional variable method, nonlinear partial differential equations.
