INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECTS OF STEM BACTERIA ON BACTERIAL SPECK DISEASE Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato AND DROUGHT STRESS IN TOMATO
Project no. 882 · Status: Kapanmış · 2018
Summary
Many biotic and abiotic stress factors such as pathogen, pest, drought stress limit agricultural productivity and product quality in cultivated areas. Rhizobacteria have been used as an alternative way against stress factors in recent years. In this study, the effects of rhizobacteria isolates which stored in culture collection of Bacteriology Laboratory were investigated against tomato bacterial speck disease causing Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst) and drought stress. The 30 rhizobacteria isolate was tested in vitro for their prevention of drought stress and their effects against Pst. The rhizobacteria isolates that were successful in in vitro tests were selected for in vivo experiments. some of the tested Rhizobacteria against drought stress in in vivo inhibited from drought stress. Two of the 7 KB strains selected against preventation of Pst in in vitro, inhibited Pst over 50% in tomato plants. Rhizobacteria isolates 76 and 83, selected according to their effects on in vitro and in vivo test results were tested together against Pst and drought stress. It was concluded that isolate 76 of these two KB isolates was more successful against biotic and abiotic stress than isolate 83 in terms of both Pst and drought stress.
