Evaluation of Surface and Plasma CD180 Levels in B-Cell Lymphoproliferative Disorders
Project no. 32796 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2025
Summary

This project aims to evaluate the diagnostic and prognostic utility of CD180 as a biomarker in B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders by analyzing both its cellular expression and plasma levels. CD180 is a Toll-like receptor family surface molecule that plays a critical role in regulating immune responses. Lymphoproliferative disorders represent a heterogeneous group of malignancies characterized by abnormal B-lymphocyte proliferation, and identifying molecular markers that facilitate diagnosis and treatment is of great importance.

Within the project, cellular CD180 expression in different lymphoproliferative subtypes (e.g., chronic lymphocytic leukemia, marginal zone lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma) will be measured by flow cytometry, while plasma levels will be quantified by ELISA. Measurement results will be compared to evaluate CD180's potential for distinguishing disease subtypes. Concordance between the two methods will be analyzed using Cohen's Kappa coefficient.

The originality of this study lies in providing a comprehensive evaluation of CD180's utility in diagnosis and subtype differentiation of lymphoproliferative disorders. The results are expected to contribute to the molecular classification of these diseases and to the development of targeted therapeutic approaches.
