IMAGING AND RESEARCH OF CORONARY ARTERIES WITH GSI DETECTOR CT

Project no. 121 · Status: Kapanmış · 2017

Summary

İntroduction: To show the efficiency of dual-energy 64-slice CT imaging with GSI in coronary artery CT-angiography. Materials-Methods: Twenty patients, who were referred to the Radiology Department of Ege University Faculty of Medicine, considering coronary artery pathology and without contraindications for coronary CTangiography were included in the study. The investigations were carried out on a dual-energy 64-slice CT device using a Gemstone detector deployed in our department. The gender of the patients was evaluated by Independent t test, other nonparametric data was evaluated by Chi-Square Test. Findings: Twenty patients were included in the study. The average age of the patients was 54 (23-76) and 55% of them were male. The average body mass index of the patients is 27.7 (21-42). The effective radiation dose was measured as 1.8 mSv. The highest image quality was achieved in 65-75 keV reconstruction images combined with 40% -60% ASIR. Conclusion: Coronary CT-angiography monochromatic 65-75 keV reconstruction images obtained using the GSI technique and the ASIR program have been shown to be effective in image quality and noise reduction
