Project no. 29539 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2023

Summary

IgG4-related disease is a newly identified entity whose pathogenesis, including the role of IgG4, is not fully understood. Signs and symptoms have been described in almost every organ system except the bone marrow.

Multiple myeloma is a neoplasia characterized by multifocal infiltration of monotypic plasma cells in the bone marrow.

Increased monoclonal immunoglobulin of the IgG isotype is frequently seen in multiple myeloma, and IgG4 myeloma is considered unrelated to IgG4-related disease; However, there is very limited research on this subject in the literature.

This study aimed to identify and characterize IgG4-secreting myelomas as a subgroup.

Approximately 600 cases diagnosed as "Myeloma" between 2010 and 2020 at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pathology and identified as IgG myeloma subtype by immunohistochemical method will be included in the study. The prognostic significance will be evaluated by examining the cell population and the rates of IgG4 expression in plasma cells by immunohistochemical method in the bone marrow biopsy archive materials of the cases, and its relationship with bone marrow fibrosis and morphological differences will be revealed. will be investigated and its relationship with IgG4-related disease and other autoimmune diseases will be compared with clinicopathological data.
