Investigation of Dynein Heavy Chain Protein 5 Expression in the Fallopian Tube in Ectopic Pregnancy Cases
Project no. 22947 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2021
Summary
<p>Ectopic pregnancy is one of the serious complications of pregnancy and complicates approximately 1-2% of pregnancies. Approximately 6% of maternal deaths in developed countries are caused by ectopic pregnancies and complications arising from ectopic pregnancy. Timely detection of ectopic pregnancy plays a very important role in reducing mortality and morbidity in complications arising from ectopic pregnancy.</pp>DNAH 5 molecule is an important molecule found in tubal tissue and plays a role in ciliary motility, and deficiency of this molecule may play a fundamental role in the development of ectopic pregnancy. In our study, DNAH 5 protein expressions in the fallopian tubes of 39 cases (study group) who were diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy and underwent salpingectomy and 39 cases (control group) who underwent salpingectomy for other gynecological reasons other than the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy were compared immunohistochemically. As a result of the study, a statistical difference was detected between the two groups in terms of DNAH5 expression (p<0.001). DNAH 5 expression level was detected at a lower rate in the ectopic pregnancy group. At the same time, a statistical difference was detected between the two groups in terms of parity, and the parity number was found to be higher in the control group (p<0.001). As a result of our study, it has been shown that DNAH 5 expression in tubal tissue is at a lower level in ectopic pregnancy cases, and it is thought that the presence of DNAH5 protein plays an important role in preventing the development of ectopic pregnancy. </p>
