Summary
The last decades, the use of chemicals in agriculture has increased due to the increasing population and the need for nutrition, and many problems have emerged accordingly. Therefore, the importance of sustainable agricultural production is increasing today. For this purpose, organic and traditional farming systems were compared in our study. The differences between the micro element and heavy metal contents of some herbal products produced by these farming systems were examined. Generally, the micronutrient contents of certified organically produced plants were found to be higher. In addition, depending on the heavy metal content in the soil, the heavy metal content of green leafy plants increased.
