Summary

In this thesis, it is aimed to determine the raw nutritional content, in vitro metabolic energy values and potential feed values of some alternative feed sources and to reveal their usability in animal nutrition.

The feed materials of the study were hazelnut meal, biscuit-wafer crumb, high protein DDGS, dry yeast, rice bran, olive meal, corn germ meal, flaxseed meal, lentil crumb, lentil bran, rice, obtained from various food and agricultural companies operating in our country. cracked bulgur, cracked chickpeas and high protein sunflower seed meal. In the study, a trial design was created with 14 different alternative feed sources and 5 replications each. After the used feeds were dried at room temperature, they were ground in a mill with a sieve diameter of 1 mm and prepared for analysis. During this study, the chemical composition of the feeds was determined as dry matter, crude ash, crude oil, crude protein, starch, sugar, crude fiber, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber and acid detergent lignin. Metabolic energy values were calculated separately for poultry and ruminant animals. Protein digestibility was determined by the AOAC 971.09 method. In the statistical evaluation of the data obtained from the research, analysis of variance (General Linear Model) was used to determine the differences between the averages, and Duncan's multiple comparison test was used to determine the significance levels of the differences. With the results obtained, alternative feed sources; alternative energy feeds (biscuit-wafer crumb, rice crumb and bulgur crumb), alternative protein feeds (high protein DDGS, dry yeast, corn germ meal, flaxseed meal, lentil crumb, chickpea crumb and high protein sunflower seed meal) and other alternative Feeds were examined in 3 groups: rice bran, olive pulp and lentil bran. According to the energy feed analysis results, it is understood that energy can be used in animal feeding. Among the alternative energy feeds, biscuit wafer crumble (highest) poultry metabolic energy is 3390.50 Kcal/kg and nutritional content (%); Digestible protein values were determined as 83.5 KM, 7.26 HP, 12.63 HY, 4.14 HK, 23.54 sugar, 33.99 starch, 4.60 HS, 13.24 NDF, 8.42 ADF, 4.82 ADL and 86.30 pepsin. Among the alternative protein feed sources, the raw materials with the highest protein values are as follows; FC DDGS (HP 47.95%), dry yeast (HP 44.14%) and FC sunflower seed meal (HP 43.55%) were determined. Pepsin digestible protein values of these feeds were determined as 70.35%, 82.99% and 81.93%, respectively. Animals can be used as an alternative source of protein feeds used in the study. However, high protein DDGS has been recommended for limited use due to its low protein digestibility. The nutritional content (%) of olive pulp, one of the other alternative feed sources, was determined as 87.46 KM, 6.57 HP, 5.57 HY, 7.71 HK, 1.86 sugar, 1.09 starch, 18.18 HS, 63.89 NDF, 38.92 ADF, 24.97 ADL and 75.02 pepsin digestible protein values. It has been determined that it is insufficient for poultry feeding. According to the results obtained, animal use possibilities of these resources were determined.
