The study also aimed to determine the sub - regions that are inadequate in terms of daily recreational places throughout the province of Izmir, to make detailed evaluations on some of the most popular daily recreation places. After forming the conceptual and theoretical framework for the research subject and examining previous studies on the subject, the aim and scope of the research were determined, the method to be followed was decided, and the boundaries of the area of study were defined. The main material of the study were the residents of the city living in the central districts of Izmir Province and the places highlighted by the users through questionnaires within the scope of the research. Questionnaire and observation methods were used in the research. Face-to-face questionnaire were conducted with 278 people living within the borders of the central district of Izmir. The findings obtained from the questionnaires were analysed and the places preferred by the people of İzmir were determined. In the determination of the places where the observation studies were carried out, the percentage of participants in the questionnaire (25 % and above) was taken as a basis and a total of 15 locations, 12 of which were within the metropolitan area, were determined. Afterwards, the places were observed one by one.
