El Hijyeni Gözetim Sistemlerinin Akıllı Cihazlar Kullanarak Tasarımı
Project no. 189 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016
Summary
In the design of a system for monitoring the compliance of health workers with hand hygiene, studies have been conducted in accordance with the rules adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding hand hygiene. There are five rules; mainly foreseeing the effectiveness of hand hygiene before and after the contact between the patient and the healthcare worker. The main focus of this project is to determine the location of the healthcare worker by using smart devices in relation to these activities, which can be summarized as being the health worker in the indoor space where the patient is located, and performing hand hygiene activity before and after the patient's presence. When the target is subdivided into sub-targets, the first goal is to determine whether the healthcare worker is present in the hospital room where the patient / patients are hospitalized. The second sub-objective is to determine the position of the health worker in the room. In addition, the project's further objective, which may be the subject of similar / related projects in the future, is to provide insights on how to make the right determinations in complex situations where the number of health care workers is more than one. The project uses Bluetooth (BT) based radio signals. Fingerprinting technique and some artificial intelligence approaches were used in order to estimate the position of the health worker in the indoor area with the finding of inside and outside of the indoor area. The predicted targets have been achieved within the range of certain tolerances.
