Summary
<p>Since the beginning human beings have interacted with nature and continued their existence by using the sources nature has. The natural resources and raw materials have been heavily used and the environment has been severely destroyed. The disrupted ecologic balance has resulted in environmental problems. The scientists have discovered the threat over the humankind and future generations and have embraced a more environment friendly and sustainable approach. After the industrial revolution energy need increased due to technological advances and changes in lifestyles. Natural resources on earth are limited. For this reason protective design approaches has emerged as existing natural resources were used effectively. This project examines how to ensure sustainable architecture through landscape design and how a link can be established between the modern men trapped between concrete blocks and nature, thanks to sustainable landscape design. In the landscape design studies, some suggestions were given for effective used of energy and efficient use of natural resources at Balçova.
