Development of Jacquard Sample Weaving Machine Suitable for Three-Dimensional Fabric Production
Project no. 21377 · Status: Kapanmış (Yayın bekleniyor) · 2019
Summary

In this project, a semi-automatic sample weaving machine that can be used to produce three-dimensional woven fabric has been developed. The machine has multiple warping beams and the speed of each warp beam can be adjusted independently of each other. This multi-beam system is of great importance in order to produce three-dimensional fabric. In addition, the machine has two different weft insertion systems, with shuttle and rapier. It is possible to switch between these two systems according to the fabric to be produced and the type of weft yarn to be used in production. In the shuttle system, the weft thread is continuous since it is unwound from the bobbin in the shuttle and provides a solid edge called the real edge. Another advantage is that it is not necessary to cut the weft after each weft insertion, especially for high-strength technical yarns that are difficult to cut. The advantage of the rapier weft insertion system is that it allows different fabric layers to be woven simultaneously with a single weft thread. In the developed sample machine, dobby shedding system was used as the shedding system. During the development of the machine, it was originally planned to use the jacquard shedding system, but due to the problems experienced in the operation of the machine, the shedding system was changed to dobby. After the machine was developed, two different three-dimensional fabrics were produced and the functionality of the machine was tested
