MORFOLOGICAL AND MOLUCULAR REVISION OF EPIPACTIS (ORCHIDACEAE) GENUS IN TURKEY

Summary
A revision of genus Epipactis of Turkey is presented. The 11 species of Epipactis in Turkey are described. Furthermore, type specimens, synonyms, habitat characterstics and geographical distributions are given. Keys to the species are provided, together detailed and morphometric photos of each speices. In the present study were analyzed all the taxa of the orchid genus Epipactis molecularly and determined by parsimony analysis the stuations of the species in the genus. Three genome regions, rbcL, MatK and ITS 1-2 were used and compared for 90 taxa. By combaining morphological and molecular data, identified the systematic status of the species within the genus Epipactis. The study suggests that ITS and MatK regions can be generally useful in systematic analysis of genus Epipactis. Keywords: Epipactis, Orchidaceae, MatK, ITS, rbcL, Revision, Turkey.
