Project no. 20754 · Status: Kapanmış · 2019

Summary

In Ege University campus, academic staff and administative personal, students, patients and visitors are situating for a long time in many different working places, different buildings and open air. In this study, during six months of period between the dates of September 2019 – March 2020, gamma dose rate mesasurements had been made with portable radiation dose rate and dose meter device at 30 locations intotal, 17 of them outdoor and 13 of them indoor which located in the Ege University Campus. From the measurements, the absorbed dose rates, the annual effective equivalent dose rates and the estimation of lifetime cancer risk were calculated. The result which are obtained are compared with the limit values of global studies & other studies made in Turkey and occupational health and safety regulations. The convenience of the results in terms occupational health and safety was evaluated.
