Design of Solar Assisted Hydrothermal Carbonization using a Semi-Continuous Flow Through System
Project no. 568 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016
Summary
In this study, it is aimed to design solar energy assisted semi-continuous reactor system. In this study, the semi-continuous system has been designed with semi-continuous system supported by solar energy by optimizing cycle time, temperature and material density. As a result of the treatment process, sewage sludge layer has various damages to the people and the environment. The organic materials it contains allow for the multiplication of microorganisms. Since these microorganisms cause different diseases, these waste sludges have been subjected to hydrothermal carbonization process and has been converted to harmless and high added products of high added value. Thus, a study carried out to produce technological products / information that provide inputs to technological application projects, which will be the basis for innovative and industrial application projects. High conversion and high yields can not be achieved as a result of the hydrothermal carbonization carried out in the intermittent reactor. In this planned system, it is planned to obtain a fuel-rich product rich in carbon content. Especially, this system is supposed to be supported by solar energy and it is aimed to operate the process under more economical conditions.
