Project no. 342 · Status: Kapanmış · 2016

Summary

Metal-ceramic restorations are the most common type of fixed prosthesis that is used clinically. The popularity of titanium alloys, the precious metal alloys are very expensive, and according to base metal alloys, titanium has been used in recent years due to its high biocompatibility, resistance to corrosion, low thermal conductivity and low density. However, due to the high melting temperatures and susceptibility to oxidation, titanium alloys are difficult to produce by conventional casting methods. The use of computer technologies such as advancing and subtracting in dentistry has also changed the production technique of metal substructure restorations prepared by casting methods. Metal substructures produced with different production methods affect marginal and internal compatibility of restorations. The purpose of this study is; The evaluation of the marginal and internal consistencies of the cobalt chromium and titanium substructured ceramic crowns produced by the CAD / CAM method and conventional method. In vitro experiments were performed on the micro-CT device with silicone replica method to evaluate the fit of the experimentally prepared single crowns. According to the obtained results, there was no statistically significant difference between marginal range values of CoCr casting, CoCr milling, Ti casting, Ti milling groups. While there was no statistically significant difference between CoCr milling groups and CoCr milling groups in the axial region of the internal interspace, the difference between Ti casting and Ti milling groups was found to be statistically significant. The highest value in the axio-occlusal corner area in the internal range was observed in the Ti milling, Ti casting and CoCr casting groups respectively in the CoCr milling group. These differences between the groups were statistically significant. The highest value in the occlusal field area in the internal range was seen in the CoCr milling group. It was observed in Ti casting, CoCr casting and Ti milling groups respectively. These differences between the groups were statistically significant. The lowest value among the internal range volume values was observed in the Ti milling group and then in the CoCr casting, CoCr milling and Ti casting groups respectively. These differences among the groups were found statistically significant except CoCr casting group.
