Mürekkep Balığı Kemiğinden Elde Edilen Adsorbentler Varlığında Antibiyotiklerin Arıtımı

Project no. 21136 · Status: Kapanmış · 2019

Summary

Pharmaceuticals that are biologically active even at low concentrations negatively affect organisms in the aquatic environment and generally have a negative effect on the ecosystem. Many acute and chronic effects are detected due to exposure of non-target organisms to pharmaceutical residues. More than two hundred active pharmaceutical ingredients, predominantly antibiotics, pain relievers, vascular drugs and antidepressants, are widely available in water and in terrestrial concentrations ranging from a few nanograms per liter to a thousand micrograms per liter. Many active pharmaceutical ingredients cannot be completely degraded by conventional treatment methods in water treatment plants and they are discharged into aquatic environments and cause extensive and continuous contamination. Accordingly, an innovative research project on waste water treatment technology and reuse of wastewater for human and environmental health has been proposed. In this project proposal, it is aimed to treat wastewater containing veterinary antibiotics by adsorption method in the presence of cuttlefish bone powder (CFPB) as adsorbent. Cuttlefish bone was supplied, pre-treated and preapred as adsorbents. In the presence of prepared adsorbents, the treatment of synthetic wastewater containing veterinary antibiotics (oxytetracycline hydrochloride) by adsorption has been optimized. The optimum conditions determined according to the Surface Response Method in the adsorption parametric study were found to be 0.09 g / L adsorbent loading, 282 rpm mixing speed and pH 7.6 to reach the maximum oxytetracycline hydrochloride removal. Pharmaceutical removal with the adsorption method may be considered as the first step of a hybrid wastewater treatment system.
